Singapore Travel Blog | day 2 - Letters From A Nomad - travel blog

Welcome digital nomads, join me on the ultimate adventure that never ends. Each of our life is made up of our experiences and stories that define us. travel is not just about seeing the beauty of the place and an instagram post. Its a feeling, millions of stories of different people around the world, the experience and above all peace.

I woke the next morning at 8 am and our first destination was the Singapore Flyer and we were advised to eat our breakfast and get ready as soon as possible. We ate " dosa " for our breakfast as we wanted to eat something heavy as it was going to be a long day.

We got ready and off we went. It took us about 15 mins to reach to the flyer. We saw an paid tour of 100 USD to ride a Ferrari which will take us around the city but unfortunately it was unavailable so we decided to stick to our plan. The flyer moved without stopping but there was considerable time to get on the capsule.

There was a long line to get on the flyer but it moved pretty fast. Each capsule can carry 28 people. The capsule was in motion and we had to board it, it was scary but we all enjoyed quite a lot and as we got higher and higher we could the entire city. I won't say no more and let the picture say it all.

I also came to know that we can book for dinner in the flyer but all of them were booked for the night, but just imagine the view one would get in the night and the food would have just made it the perfect end to the lovely day but never mind.

Next on our stop was the most famous Sentosa island. We first decided to take the Skyride. At first, we thought we would be in closed space but as it turned out it was just a seat to for 3 people. It was scary at first but then we had a lot of fun and as it turned out it wasn't at that much height and we took some great Instagram photos.

Next, we went to the underwater world. My thoughts were bewildered to see how beautifully they have made this aquarium. There were many fishes and my god such majestic creatures they are. We were on a moving conveyor belt so we can go as many times we wanted to go on the tour. It was my 3rd time when my parents had to drag me out of there.

It was close to the time for our lunch but we had one more activity to do before that.

The dolphin lagoon - dolphin and sea lion show is a must see show if you ever go to Sentosa island. the dolphins were showing various stunts and then came the sea lions with the tricks and it was so exciting that we all forget that we had to eat.

The show was still on but we had to leave as we all were very hungry at this point. we found a restaurant there and ate 2 pizza. there were a lot of peacocks that came near us during our lunch. they really are beautiful.

Then it was time for us to head to the " wings of time " it is a light show which I would never forget. All of the stage actors were telling a story of courage and strength. There were various fireworks and a water screen which was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

It marked as the end of the second day of our visit to Singapore. the wings of the time were the perfect finish to our day and it couldn't have been any better.

Day 3:

We woke up really late and we missed our breakfast so we decided to go out to eat something. We had our check out at 4pm so we had nearly 6 hours with us so I decided to go around the neighbourhood to buy some souvenirs to take back home.

I bought a book from the local stall and it was in enough written by a local writer and a lot of chocolate and my mom and dad bought a few things and we got back to our hotel and packed our stuff and headed out and decided to eat our lunch in the airport itself.

Our flight was at 12am that night so we had a lot of time at our hands. we roamed around the airport and a special band was playing as it was the night of Christmas Eve.

We ate our so-called lunch at 5.30 pm and we wanted to relax so we went to the massaging chair and man were those relaxing. I even ended up buying one for my own.

We boarded our flight at 11.50 pm and that brings us to the 3 amazing days in Singapore and I will truly miss this place and I promise to come next time and explore even more.
